Tomomi ©︎ Nishikawa’s work, created by combining different shapes, are all free and entertaining designs that look like bouncing balls.

We expressed the world that she created in a jacquard weave. The result is a cover that is warm to the touch with three-dimensionality and depth.

The star of this artwork is the “Dog,” fully immersed up to its neck in a cup of hot Japanese sake. It seems so comfortable that it is on top of the world, surrounded by a heavenly beautiful view. This design is sure to bring you a happy feeling.



You can even feel the happiness of the dog, expressed by colorful weaving. The pattern emerges from the background, another feature of jacquard weaving.



The “butterfly-stopper” pen holders are made of polyester with good coloring. It gives a brighter expression by changing the color of each piece; one is pink, and the other is green.



The inner cover is a subdued black, with Tomomi ©︎ Nishikawa’s autograph printed on the right pocket. The vivid green bookmark is an accent for the A6 size cover.

This cover design is based on Shigesato Itoi’s 1994 Super Nintendo game, MOTHER 2 (EarthBound in North America). The A6 size Attention! cover features pixel art of billboards you find around town, logos, typography, and other memorable characters from the game.

The vibrantly printed design shows a playful depiction of stickers plastered all over the front and back of the cover.



The back of the cover includes a memorable truck and billboards, including those from the Fourside Dinosaur Museum, Apple Kid and Orange Kid’s houses, and even Burglin Park (Nusutto Park in Japanese). The pixel art includes characters that anyone would remember if they’ve played the game, but it also contains some core motifs that aren’t as easy to recall.



The cover interior is yellow and has two bookmarks, one with a red charm and the other with a blue charm. The MOTHER 2 logo and the black silhouette from a failed teleport attempt are printed on the ticket pocket.



The butterfly stopper pen holders come in red and blue. The mismatched colors are a delight when the cover is closed.



As a free bonus, this cover includes a pack of 12 clear MOTHER 2 stickers of various sizes.

This is a techo cover made from the gorgeous tweed fabric from Laurent Garigue, a world-class tweed manufacturer based in London.

The base is a shimmering green glitter thread, which befits the name “Twinkle,” and is tightly woven with threads in nuanced colors of pink, blue, lavender, and other colors. This textile has a three-dimensional feel, and the threads are not only in different colors but also in different thicknesses. It looks like a field of flowers or city lights, which you will never grow tired of looking at.

The Tower of the Sun monument was erected for the 1970 World’s Fair in Osaka and stands about 70 meters tall. It remains to this day as a powerful presence in the Osaka Expo Park and is one of Taro Okamoto’s most famous works. The tower is regarded as a symbol of the energy of all things generated through the past, present, and future, and also the center of life. The Golden Mask, which shines at the top of the tower, is featured on the techo cover.

This sparkling gold techo cover has a large image of the Golden Mask. The black sections are embossed to give it texture.



The back of the cover is also embossed with organic lines featured on the body of the tower. It’s mysterious how even this one single line can convey the style of Taro Okamoto.



When you open the cover, you can see the full view of the Tower of the Sun on the inside. Having the tower’s overpowering shape printed inside the cover makes it feel like there’s a powerful energy harnessed inside this cover, even when shut.

This leather design is specially designed to fit snugly around your Hobonichi Techo book while keeping it slim and comfortably portable. It does not contain butterfly stopper pen holders, and pockets are kept to a bare minimum.

The 2024 edition of Taut is made of leather named “Stone,” tanned by “Nuova Albora,” a tannery in Pisa, Italy. It is a high-quality cover with a deep color resembling an aromatic Bordeaux wine.

“Stone” is made from fine raw hides from France and Germany and tanned with 100% vegetable tannin, resulting in a hard finish. The leather is colored in two stages; a light Bordeaux color is evenly applied to the leather with a metal roller machine, and after fixing the color, black paint is sprayed over the top and further polished. The polishing removes a portion of the last layer of black paint and adds an antique atmosphere of shading, unevenness, and brilliance to the surface. The longer it is used, the more the color will blend with the base Bordeaux color with depth and beauty.



Slim cuts into the leather interior allow it to hold cards the size of a credit card or business card. The pen hook on the right side is designed to hold a pen by its clip.



The cover contains a small, simply designed bookmark made of the same leather as the cover. The bookmark is debossed with the Hobonichi logo.

This cover is brought to you by a collaboration with Seilin & Co. denim brand Blue Blue.

In the early 1980’s, Blue Blue debuted as a maker of denim shirts. They focused on the color indigo blue and denim that transformed over time with extended use. This cover combines durable denim Blue Blue material with traditionally crafted “Sashiko” material so users can enjoy the two different textures together.

This diamond-patterned sashiko fabric was historically used to make clothes. The embroidery is greatly detailed with a high thread count.



When you open the cover, you can see the Indigo German Cloth that Blue Blue is famous for. It’s a strong, resilient material also used in military jackets.



The pen hook on the inside is designed to hold a pen by its clip. The cover retains its nice form even when closed.

This techo cover was created with PAMM, who focuses on the idea of “Wear my thought.” The brand features attractive pajama sets designed to be worn during the time when you are truly all to yourself: in your dreams.

The design is based on the “generous interior pajamas” actually sold at PAMM.

The cover’s cream-colored cotton material is given a pop-art look with green, black, and silver shapes drawn organically around the design. The green and matte black sections are silkscreen printed, while the silver and shiny black sections are foil-printed, giving the cover an elaborate design.

Linton has established a solid position as a textile brand since the early 20th century. While a traditional company, Linton has always taken on the challenge of creating new designs.

The textile used in “Vacances” is a perfect example of this. It is pop and cute, yet they utilize a long-established company’s weaving techniques.

Each blue, white, and silver thread is woven horizontally, spreading downward, looking like sparkling waves in the summer sea. The threads of translucent red, green, blue, and yellow occasionally appear in between. The randomly placed pom-poms add a charm to the fabric.



The bright yellow color of the leather zipper pull adds an accent.



The inner cover is the same bright yellow as the zipper pull, which would cheer you up when you open your techo. You can also find a LINTON tag inside.

A train runs along a track high in the gray sky. Look closely, and you'll see that the stars shining in the sky are in the shape of various seashells. A giraffe stands quietly on the ground, looking up at the sky. You can really feel the quietness of the scene.

This fantastic view, which looks to each person to have a different season, time, and place, was created by illustrator Hiroko Kubota. She brushed up a previous work of art in order to extend the story to the back of the cover as well.

The seashell-shaped stars all have their own appearances, as some have a soft glow while others are sparkling brightly.



On the back of the cover you can see a puddle where the moon has fallen, and animals playing jump rope nearby.



In order to portray the soft color scheme of the original illustration, we chose an extra-fine cover material that’s smoother to the touch than ever before.

The interior pockets are blue-gray, with seashell stars sparkling in a sky that’s been printed behind the pockets. The bookmark charms are also shaped like shells.

Illustrator Yumi Kitagishi is popular both in and out of Japan, and now you can get her illustrations on a techo cover.

The world in Kitagishi’s acrylic gouache paintings evoke warm, nostalgic feelings reminiscent of childhood days spent gazing at picture books.

The artwork on this cover is called “Little Gifts,” and is filled with over 80 carefully drawn items with various themes. These include not only imaginary items, but many that Kitagishi has actually bought or received and cherishes. You can find all kinds of sparkling treasures across the design, including a seal snow globe, a clasp pouch with a face, a cat stamp, and a rose tea bag.

The themes pictured on the cover are the kind that could tickle a girl’s fancy, but the black background gives the overall design a mature look that really brings it together.



Look closely and you can see the overlap of paint colors and precise brush strokes that reflect Kitagishi’s art style.



The cover interior is a dull shade of mint green. The pockets are also covered in illustrations.



The interior left pocket contains a cat-shaped brand card. It looks cute peeking out from the pocket, so you could even leave the card in so you have something to look forward to every time you open your cover.
